It's been a busy month. I've spent almost all my spare time clearing out the tons of junk my late father-in-law collected over 50 odd years in the house and garden. I have so far filled three large skips (dumpsters) and demolished one greenhouse. I've also had to re-roof a large outbuilding used as a storage area.
As well as working at my mother-in-laws we've had the builders in at home building a conservatory and extending the kitchen into the new space created. I've also had to remove three large trees from the back garden and one from the front ready for the new driveway which will be laid in a few weeks time.
The one thing I had planned to do this summer, building a studio in the garden, has not been done so that's my project for the autumn and winter months.
No time for flower photography then!
My front garden looks a picture at the moment with the white and pink Japanese Anemones in full bloom. Below is a photograph of a white one taken last year.
